Dr. Aji Mathew is an Associate Professor at the Luleå University of Technology, Sweden. Her research areas include nanomaterials from natural resources, nanocomposite processing and characterization, biobased water purification membranes and biomedical scaffolds. Dr. Mathew received her PhD in Polymer Chemistry from Mahatma Ghandi University, Kerala, India, and held post-doctoral positions at the Centre de Recherches sur les Macromolecules Vegetales, Domaine Universitaire, Grenoble, France and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway. She has also previously worked as the Head of the Department of Chemistry of Garden City College, Bangalore, India, and as a Senior Project Engineer at Underwriters Laboratories India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, India.
