Qiangxian Wu is a professor at college of chemistry in Central China Normal University. He graduated from college of chemistry and molecular sciences in Wuhan University with the guidance of his supervisor Academician Lina Zhang in 2001. In the same year, he got Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) research fellowship and studied on the modification of protein in National Food Research Institute. After that, he went to work in Michigan State University as a post-doctoral since the year 2003. Professor Wu was went back to China in 2007. Since then he has been devoting himself to the fundamental research and applications of advanced materials from renewable natural polymers including starch, sodium alginate, soy protein, fibroin and wood plastic composites. He has published more than 30 SCI papers and successfully applied for 7 patents. In additional, there are four novel related products has been marketed.
