Helena Chum | National Renewable Energy Laboratory | USA
Dr. Helena Chum is a Research Fellow in the National Bioenergy Center at the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and a member of the NREL Research Fellows Council that advises the Laboratory on future directions. Her 38 years of expertise covers renewable fuels, transportation systems, and international renewable energy activities including agriculture, forestry, bioenergy, bioproducts, biofuels, and biorefineries and sustainability. Dr. Chum conducts research on the sustainability of the integrated systems of the bioeconomy in the global context. Dr. Chum is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, of the American Chemical Society and of its Cellulose and Renewable Materials Division, of the International Academy of Wood Science, and a lead author of the IPCC Working Group 3. http://www.nrel.gov/research_fellows/chum.html
